My deepest thanks to those residents who supported the Book sale on Sunday. We collected £168.50. This will go a little of the way to support their heroic work in Haiti.

5 February BMCG work session10am to 12.30pm, meet at Lumley gate. All tools, tea/coffee and biscuits provided.

7 February ECA Film Club: Burns Night: Emsworth Community Centre, 7pm. Scottish Country Dancing led by Elizabeth Dean and Haggis meal. Tickets £7.50 each or £20 for a family ticket. To book your ticket, call Alison 377493, Maureen 372294 or Sandie 375544.

9 February ECA Film Club: “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas” (12A) See 12th Jan. for details.

2 February ECB monthly meeting, 7.30pm, Emsworth Community Centre

Sat 14 February Emsworth Mother’s Union Table Top Sale, 10am to 1pm at St. James’ Parish Hall, Church Path, Emsworth. Entry 50p per person. Proceeds to the Mothers’ Union Projects at home and abroad.

15 February FoHBW work session, 10am to 12 noon. Meet at the shore end of Warblington Road.

19 February Emsworth Maritime and Historical Trust: Talk by John Tweddell “The Rise and Fall of Emsworth Oysters”, 7.30pm, Lumley Room, Emsworth Community Centre, Church Path. Admission Members £1. Non Members £2. All Welcome.

19 February EHS: AGM followed by Talk on ‘The Great Exhibition of 1851’ by Rosina Brandham.

21 February FoNBW work session, 10am to 12 noon. Meet at the shore end of Warblington Road.

21 February Community Board Open Day - at International House

28 February Great Emsworth Pork Pie Challenge.  To be held at The Emsworth Centre, South Street, Emsworth  - £5 entrance fee for each pie submitted. Further details, rules and entry form HERE. Proceeds to Naomi House the Children's Hospice which provides respite care, terminal care and bereavement support for children and families across the south of England.ww.naomihouse.org.uk
