RESIDENT COMMUNICATION- June 2010

Further to a recent letter received from the Emsworth Safer Neighbourhood team we have been advised to make you aware of the following:-

“There have been a number of different crimes in the area and these have been all over Emsworth and have mainly been thefts from vehicles and burglaries other than dwellings.

The theft from vehicles have been mainly when people have left valuable items in their cars so please remember to lock your cars and not leave valuables in them.

The non dwelling burglaries have been predominantly to garages and sheds where mainly bikes have been taken. In order to help deter this crime, again please lock up your garages and also lock bikes within the garage. It would seem that high value cycles are being specifically targeted.”

Reading the national papers it would seem this type of crime is on the increase possibly due to the present economic circumstances so please don’t give the opportunists a chance to get your belongings. As with any crime please contact the police to report it.

If any incidents occur please also advise one of the Maisemore Gardens Neighbourhood Watch team

The team are:-

Shirley Cooke (74), Mick Jennings (21), Maggie Murphy (30), Krystyna Kandulska (17)

As always, we would kindly ask that you pass on this information to any residents who do not have internet access. A copy of the newsletter will be posted on the Maisemore Gardens Notice Board located on the large tree in front of No 19.

Many thanks and regards

Krystyna on behalf of Maisemore Gardens Neighbourhood Watch
