From the North Get on to the A3 and head south direction, Portsmouth.
Keep going past Petersfield and Butser Hill deep cutting past the Queen Elizabeth Country Park on your left and Windmill Hill (it has a Windmill on top) also on your left. You will then be approaching Horndean Stay on the A3 do not take the turning to Horndean The A3 then becomes the A3M take the first junction left, sign posted to Rowlands Castle and Emsworth B2149 Keep going past the Horndean Oil field and Rowlands Castle (this is a village not a castle) both to the left. Just past Rowlands Castle you come to two mini-roundabouts turn left at the second one sign posted to Emsworth, B2148. Pass the Staunton Arms on the left and keep going. Eventually you approach Emsworth from the North down the Horndean Road.Go under two bridges, the first a road bridge the second rail, very close together. Past The Railway Inn , on the left.
The road wriggles about a bit and you come to a roundabout turn right onto the A259, sign posted to Havant and Portsmouth. Go past the Millpond on the left and the Kings Arms on the right.Keep going and about 100 yards past the next traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing turn left into Beach road - distant view of the sea.
